Entering winter, painting trees white is a key task in winter garden maintenance and management. On November 18th, more than ten volunteers from Weiai Public Welfare Workshop transformed into plant conservationists, working together to whitewash over a hundred camphor trees on the streets of the town, dressing them in new winter clothes, and preparing them to withstand the harsh cold and safely pass the winter.
At the event, the relevant personnel in charge popularized the role of tree whitening to the volunteers, demonstrating how to correctly whiten large trees. The height of the whitening should be 1-1.5 meters, and the bark and gaps of the trees should be evenly applied.
Volunteers hold buckets in their left hand and brushes in their right hand, queuing up one by one to replenish tree whitening agents. They are scattered on both sides of Yucai Road in the town, brushing the trees on both sides from east to west. The weather is cold, but everyone is full of enthusiasm.
After more than three hours, the volunteers completed the tree whitening operation on the entire road. Although everyone was splattered with white paint, the whitening effect was recognized and praised by professionals.
During the event, passersby occasionally expressed their appreciation for our public welfare activities, which also attracted the attention of many children. Some children voluntarily applied to experience it and expressed their willingness to become small volunteers and participate in public welfare activities more in the future.
